why is your tag for penelope "water wife"?

Dear Anon, I will happily tell you!!!! :D

"Water Wife" is kind of the code word I use for MY Penelope as I know have her quite a bit silly compared to other creators. :) and well, I know some folks are looking for a more "serious" non-naiad-y Penelope. Especially as I have...a lot... A LOT of (technically) not canon lore for my Penelope as she's my most special, horrible, and beloved lil lady. I have a lot of her past and childhood and personality (when she's not distressed like in the Odyssey when dealing with the suitors) so she's kind of my own lil character in a way.

My Penelope is 75% Naiad, her mother being a Periboea, a full naiad, and her father Icarius, who, in some myths, is the son of Bateia, who is another Naiad. so she's really fun to play around with! :D

And being a naiadborn, she's the "Water Wife"! (it kind of rolls off the tongue too!)

I have a lot of headcanons and thoughts about her. I love chattering and being silly about her. So if people wanna find my specific stuff on her OR actually wanna block my lil lady then they can.
